Description

Come learn about NIOSH research involving the evaluation and use of 'low-cost' particulate monitor networks, and about their potential for adoption and use in various settings.

Learning Outcomes

1) Understand how low-cost dust sensing networks (DSN) could be used in industrial operations towards improved dust mitigation interventions.
2) Understand the performance of DSN devices as demonstrated in both lab and field results compared to traditional respirable dust measurements.
3) Consider the future research needs to increase the feasibility and utility of dust sensing networks for mining or heavy industry.
