Despite many advances in evaluating and controlling exposures to chemicals and other agents in the past three decades, it is still common to have overconfidence in exposure judgments based on limited or even no data. Using exposure models to improve exposure judgments is well-established but unfortunately not widely utilized. This presentation will provide case studies highlighting successful instances of exposure modeling and discuss the integral part modeling will play in the continuous improvement of industrial hygiene.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to:
• Identify opportunities and resources for exposure models in IH practice.
• Apply basic exposure modeling concepts to exposure assessment.
• Use exposure models in IH practice.
