Description

Sitting for the CIH exam (or any standardized exam) without having taken practice exams is like participating in a marathon without having run. This point can not be emphasized enough. An invaluable opportunity to direct study decisions using evaluation data is missed if practice exam scores are not tracked. To pass the CIH exam, it is crucial to know a little bit about many different IH topic areas. Many experienced, intelligent IH's fail the CIH exam because they did not develop and adhere to a strategic study plan. This session aims to equip participants with the strategic training plan they need to run the CIH exam race and win. Recommended references, resources, review courses (e.g., AIHA's Crash Course), and study plans will be presented followed by an extensive question and answer period.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion, the participant will be able to:

• Identify references, resources, and review courses for the CIH exam.
• Describe the CIH exam (i.e., topic areas, duration, and questions).
• Utilize tips for effective study and test-taking.
• Develop a strategic study plan for passing the CIH exam.
