Nanotechnology has been on the rise in our modern global world and with its increased usage comes a need for understanding what resources are out there to help OEHS professionals informed on how to keep our workforce safe. This session will unpack existing resources, guidelines, and advice for building out an industrial hygiene and safety protocol for workplaces that use or will use nanomaterials, whether it will be monitoring, controls, occupational exposure limits, or best management practices. Tools and resources touched upon will include and come from OSHA, NIOSH, academic research papers, and industry studies.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to:
1. Summarize key resources and guidelines for an effective nanomaterial safety program
