G1a. Heavy Metal Exposures Among Informal Electronic Waste Workers in Thailand and Chile
Exposure determinant modeling is critical to better understand where, when, and how to control occupational exposures. In practice, the ability to evaluate exposure determinants is degraded by selection bias (i.e., only a subset of all exposed workers are sampled) and the statistical issue of small n, large p (i.e., few samples but many exposure determinants). We propose a new framework to overcome these limitations and to improve exposure determinant modeling that industrial hygienists can utilize in practice.
