Description

In today's dynamic work environments, effective ergonomic practices are more critical than ever for creating a safer and more productive work environment. Repetitive tasks, heavy lifting, and awkward postures can lead to significant injuries and discomfort. This presentation addresses: 1) the need to adapt job tasks to better fit worker capabilities to enhance worker well-being; 2) how to identify common ergonomic risk factors (e.g., repetitive motion, poor posture, and manual handling); 3) overcoming challenges by applying foundational ergonomic principles; and 4) strategies for mitigating these risks. Through interactive case studies and hands-on activities, attendees will gain practical skills in conducting ergonomic risk assessments and developing actionable solutions. The session also highlights the broader health implications of ergonomics, aligning with NIOSH's Total Worker Health® principles to support overall worker health and safety.
