Education Session
Kansas City Convention Center
Room: 3501 C
CM Credit Hours: 1
In a world plagued by bad information, how can you help ensure that the records you create can be trusted? This session will present: 1) what is Objective Quality Evidence (OQE); 2) what it looks like; and 3) how to use OQE industrial hygiene and safety programs. With a focus on exposure record documentation, a step-by-step process for ensuring the records you create are OQE will be presented. A real-life scenario will demonstrate the preparation for and the conducting of sampling, the receipt of laboratory analysis, and the creation of an exposure record. Attendees will be provided with a) standards; b) best practices; c) reference tools; and d) methods for standardizing documentation to utilize while preparing their OQE records. The presenters will ensure all attendees leave with knowledge of how to take the information they are provided and create a record that is considered Objective Quality Evidence.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to:
• Develop OQE to ensure robust documentation in IH programs.
• Discuss the importance and relevance of OQE for IH applications.
