Description

Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Program (RMP) are still some of the most misunderstood governmental regulations. The most dreaded compliance point is the triennial Compliance Audit. PSM and RMP regulations were promulgated in the 1980s in response to Bhopal, India, and other disasters involving chemicals identified as highly hazardous to human health and the environment. This PDC presents a methodology for performing the triennial compliance audit required by 29 CFR 1910.119, Process Safety Management, and 40 CFR 68, Chemical Accident Prevention, for a Covered Process. Topics will include: 1) PSM & RMP elements; 2) how to integrate the compliance audit into daily operations; 3) expected pitfalls in performing PSM/RMP compliance audits; and 4) lessons learned from completed audits. Participants will be able to identify the primary focus areas for common violations in OSHA/RMP inspections.

*Please note: Only participants registering for two (2) half-day PDCs on the same day will receive a box lunch. **Please note: power strips will not be provided at each attendee's seat; however, charging stations for laptops will be provided in each course room.
