Description

This PDC provides a comprehensive framework for integrating Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety (OEHS) hazard identification with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), by leveraging AIHA's content portfolio initiatives and established standards (ISO 31000, ANSI/ASSP Z10, ANSI/ASSP Z590.3, and ISO 45001). Participants will learn how to: a) link hazards, hazard banding, Prevention through Design (PtD) principles, business objectives, and stakeholder values; b) present the business case for OEHS improvement projects aligned with the organizational goals and priorities; c) develop a comprehensive value proposition; and d) use an established EHS to ERM model to develop a S&H management system. Through a detailed case study, participants will learn to apply the ERM methodology, including the AIHA Business Case, to select optimal solutions, justify ongoing projects, and integrate OEHS into the broader ERM framework. This course bridges the gap between technical EHS expertise and the strategic needs of business and operations. EHS professionals will be empowered to elevate their role in organizational decision-making and risk management.

*Registration includes boxed luncheon. **Power strips will not be provided at each attendee's seat; however, laptop charging stations will be provided in each course room.
