Description

Public speaking anxiety affects nearly 77% of individuals, a challenge that is particularly critical for H&S Professionals. Miscommunication in this field can have serious consequences. This session is designed to provide participants with hands-on tools to elevate presentation skills to communicate with confidence and clarity in any setting. Throughout the session, participants will engage in interactive exercises that focus on techniques like setting the right tone, capturing the audience's attention, and compelling storytelling. In small groups, attendees will deliver presentations designed to refine verbal and non-verbal communication strategies. Practical tips for structuring content, using body language, and maintaining audience engagement will be incorporated into each exercise, allowing participants to receive immediate feedback and fine-tune their approach. Whether delivering safety training or presenting to leadership, attendees will be equipped to captivate their audience, deliver persuasive messages, and foster positive outcomes in their professional communication efforts.

*Please note: Only participants registering for two (2) half-day PDCs on the same day will receive a box lunch. **Please note: power strips will not be provided at each attendee's seat; however, charging stations for laptops will be provided in each course room.
