Description

An industrial hygiene life cycle perspective will explore potential occupational exposures from Hazardous Drugs (HDs). This best practice IH approach will cover work environments from drug development to manufacturing to healthcare to patient administration. This will include a review of compliance and regulatory guidance for each work environment and a review of example IH programs and risk assessment approaches for HDs in industry and healthcare. Case study exercises will build participants' risk communication and risk management skills with HD scenarios including sampling results. In small group activities, participants will develop written and verbal communications based on scenario results, risk assessment approach, and professional interpretation. The goal is to provide industrial hygiene program recommendations for corrective actions, and continuous improvement.

*Please note: Only participants registering for two (2) half-day PDCs on the same day will receive a box lunch. **Please note: power strips will not be provided at each attendee's seat; however, charging stations for laptops will be provided in each course room.
