Description

Controlling combustible dusts in new and existing facilities is not a one-day job; it is a complex challenge that demands patience, planning, and persistence. Combustible dust control and compliance with NFPA 660 does not start or end with a Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA) and requires continuous programmatic improvement. This session will outline the requirements of NFPA 660 and combustible dust safety programs including how to develop program/policies and practically implement them in your facility to reduce the likelihood and severity of an incident.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion, the participant will be able to:
• Explain actions to reduce the likelihood and severity of combustible dust incidents.
• Define the requirements of building/fire codes and NFPA 660 Standard for Combustible Dusts and Particulate Solids.
• implement a practical combustible dust safety program.
