Description

Consulting can be a great career path for health and safety professionals. The odds of having a successful consulting career are much higher if you understand the profession, which requires more than technical knowledge about health and safety.

This session will summarize key considerations for current or future consultants, including 1) sole practitioners; 2) people who want to join a consulting firm; and 3) people who want to start a consulting firm. Each section will be presented by consultants with real-world experience, and attendees will receive practical information and references to help them become better consultants.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion, the participant will be able to:
• Anticipate and distinguish between the requirements for sole practitioners, members of an established consulting firm, and founders of a consulting firm.
• Identify key considerations to succeed as a health and safety consultant.
• Identify references and other resources with more detailed information to help participants be excellent consultants.
