Description

The increase in litium ion and similar chemistries has been exponential in the recent years. The lifecyle of these batteries have created unique hazards in facilities and has driven the need for a code specifically for these batteries. The National Fire Protection Association has developed a comprehensive standard to provide uniform, minimum requirements to address fire, electrical, life safety, and property protection from battery hazards. This session will provide an update on the status of NFPA 800 and major implications of the standard's requirements.
