Description

This three-part, immersive learning experience, delivered by seasoned OEHS professionals and corporate legal counsel, equips participants to not only design effective workplace health and safety initiatives but also secure the support and protection needed to make them last.

Grounded in real-world compliance data, injury trends, and case-based insights, this session will help OEHS professionals and organizational leaders:
1. Identify and measure the effectiveness of their health and safety efforts to reduce risk and drive measurable outcomes.
2. Gain executive buy-in and resources by building persuasive, data-driven narratives that connect OEHS priorities to broader business goals.
3. Collaborate effectively with general counsel to mitigate risk, demonstrate good-faith efforts, and position their organizations for the strongest possible legal defense if challenges arise.

Participants will leave with actionable tools to bridge operational silos, engage key stakeholders, and develop strategies that withstand both internal and external scrutiny. Through interactive facilitation, guided storytelling, and real-world scenarios, attendees will explore the tangible costs of inaction legal exposure, human impact, missed opportunities, and learn how to catalyze change with confidence and conviction.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion, the participant will be able to:
• Proactively identify and prioritize workplace health risks using internal and external data sources.
• Identify and assess the business, legal, and human costs associated with delayed EHS action.
• Classify EHS goals into language that resonates across business functions.
• Discuss persuasive narratives that emphasize the business value and human necessity of workplace health initiatives.
• Explain the consequences of delayed action using adaptable risk models and metrics.
• Outline cultural and systemic barriers to adoption through practical facilitation techniques.
• Demonstrate good-faith compliance efforts and strengthen the organization's legal defensibility during regulatory challenges.
