Description

Laboratory decommissioning involves months of preparation towards lab decontamination, lab equipment relocation or disposal, asset management, communication, regulatory scrutiny and industrial hygiene aspects to perform and complete the lab decommissioning in a safe manner.

This session will cover the nuts and bolts of lab decommissioning elements from start to finish to ensure we keep employees safe, reduce risk and organizations compliant with the regulatory agencies which govern the lab closure process.

Upon completion, the participant will be able to:
• Recognize the critical elements of lab decommissioning.
• Leverage tools available to assist with decommissioning process.
• Apply resources and address lab decommissioning issues in a sustainable manner.
