This professional development course on developmental and reproductive toxicology, or DART, provides an overview of key occupational considerations and the challenges employers face when managing pregnant employees. Topics include:

• Principles of DART
• Resources and references
• A risk management framework for reproductive health and pregnant workers
• Nonclinical DART testing and classification during pregnancy
• Exposure evaluation and control options
• Risk management strategies, policies and regulatory compliance

Prerequisites

Attendees should have a basic understanding of toxicology.

It also offers tools to help implement workplace reproductive health protection policies in collaboration with medical professionals, human resources, toxicologists and labor representatives.
