Effective occupational and environmental health and safety professionals are often involved in emergency preparedness, response, and business continuity planning. They work in teams that include members of the corporate suite and external partners such as emergency responders and government agencies.

What processes and structures should the team use to plan for emergencies? How can they ensure the response plan is the best possible? How do local emergency responders fit into this planning?

This session features case studies and lessons learned from organizations that have assembled teams to develop and exercise emergency response and business continuity plans. The discussion will include how the National Incident Management System can serve as a framework for emergency planning.

*Registration includes boxed luncheon. **Power strips will not be provided at each attendee's seat; however, laptop charging stations will be provided in each course room.
