Description

Communicating OEHS concepts is a recognized challenge – it's an AIHA content priority. Members of the AIHA Committee on Communicating OEHS Concepts will role play both ineffective and engaging communication scenarios.

A few possible scenarios:
- Explaining exposures to workers vs. management vs. the public with media present
- Trying to answer public concerns about mold from building occupants
- Discussing silica exposures with supervisors vs. construction workers
- Chemical sampling results for the C-suite vs. line workers
- What is IH? an elevator pitch
- Explaining hazard and control banding to a safety manager vs. a supervisor vs. an employee

Receive a handout full of communication dos vs. don'ts, techniques and approaches, and tips and tricks that work and are based on better practices in research and by professionals.

Come and help choose which better and worse examples we'll role play live. Have fun and learn proven techniques and approaches!
